WHY RUN THE RISK OF RUINED BATTERIES AND BURNT OUT IGNITION COILS — LET UTEX PROTECT THEM!

HAVE YOU EVER DONE THIS?
If You Haven't, You Might!
Have you ever jumped into your car first thing in the morning to find the engine absolutely "dead"?—batteries run down and ignition coil burnt to a cinder? And all because you forgot to switch off the night before! This is an oversight that practically every car driver is guilty of sooner or later. And it is this kind of thing that makes motoring EXPENSIVE.

THIS IS THE BILL THAT JONES PAID THREE TIMES LAST YEAR!
Take the case of Jones, for instance: No less than three times last year he forgot to switch off—and this is what his oversight cost him! AND IT MIGHT EASILY HAVE BEEN YOU!

New Battery ... £5 / 2 / 6
Supplying and fitting New Ignition Coil £1 / 5 / 0
£6 / 7 / 6

A UTEX SWITCH (costing 5/=) would have saved this!

This is an ACTUAL SIZED photograph of the UTEX Suction-Operated Ignition Switch — worth its weight in gold to every motorist.

THESE TWO BENEFITS WILL BE YOURS when you fit this Money-Saving Switch

1 PREVENTS Ruined Batteries and Burnt Out Ignition Coils
The UTEX Suction-Operated Switch AUTOMATICALLY switches off the ignition directly the engine stops running—and switches it on when you start up again. Once it is fitted, there is no longer any need to worry about switching on or off—the UTEX makes it absolutely impossible for you to harm either Battery or Coil. Can You Afford to be without this Protection?

2 PROTECTS From Fire in Case of a Crash.
Fire following a Crash—this is the risk that every motorist dreads. A continuous spark has been proved to be a source of danger and has been responsible for a very large number of accidents resulting in the loss of human life by fire following a crash. This cannot happen when you are guarded by UTEX because directly the engine stops ignition is automatically cut out. Fit UTEX to-day for SAFETY'S sake.

HOW TO FIX THE UTEX SWITCH
Cut the pipe connecting the induction pipe to the windscreen wiper, and connect the ends to two tubular openings in the Utex switch, smearing these first with Seccotine. Cut also the lead from the battery to the ignition circuit, and connect the loose ends to the terminals on the switch. Where the windscreen wiper is not suction operated, bore a small hole in the induction pipe, and connect this through suitable tubing to one tubular end of the Utex switch, closing the other with suitable materials. Connect the terminals on the switch to the ignition circuit as before. The switch can hang loose under the bonnet or may be fixed with a few screws to the back of the dashboard.
