To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to EH. Copy Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}7/W28.7.19. X.3426 X.3014 RE BRONZE BEARINGS FOR CHANGE SPEED RODS ON FRONT END OF 40/50 CHASSIS GEAR BOX. The top off side corner of this casting fouls the belt of the dynamo drive under certain conditions of adjustment. We find that the portion of this casting causing the foul can be considerably reduced in size. It should be formed with semi-circular ends which just give sufficient clearance for the rods when they are in their forward position. This will materially assist in clearing this foul. Will you please prepare the necessary information to be brought fprward at the next Progress Meeting, and to be adopted at a date convenient to the Works and without scrap. Bn.{W.O.
