EIGHTEENTH REPORT OF DESIGN COMMITTEE.

Re: 20/25 HP. for R.R.A.I.

The Design Committee were asked to report on a proposal for making the present 20/25 more suitable for sale in America. We do not think we can do anything to the chassis to make more than a very small difference to its suitability for American conditions. We recommend that we concentrate any efforts we may make towards making the 20/25 suitable for this purpose, to preparing a left hand chassis. Now that we have the left hand Phantom, the design work required is not very much as it would so largely follow the larger car.

For the types of body referred to, we recommend fitting a sliding seat for the driver, which can easily move back sufficiently to enable him to get out on his side of the car.
