X.3722. HERZ PLUGS. These plugs have mica insulation. There is no novelty about them. They have two sparking points. We have run a set of these for 10 hours and during that time we had two fail owing to the centre stem breaking. We do not consider these plugs satisfactory for our use.

CHAMPION PLUGS. X.4196.

We have so far only received one sample of these plugs. From examination, the complaint we have of the sample is the fact that it is only a single point plug we have always obtained the best running on our engines with the multi-point plugs.

We should like to have samples of plugs which have been proved successful on R.R. cars in America by our Service Station there. For car work we prefer a plug which has -

1. Pot insulation.
2. Nickel sparking points.
3. Multi sparking points.
