X.4333 - GOSHAWKAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine DYNAMO COMMUTATOR & BRUSH SYSTEM

Answering your ROY {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} 5/MG29.1.23, we are at present so very well satisfied with the mica commutator rings we are receiving, that before entertaining the change of supply we should want to be shown more advantage in price then it would be probable we could obtain.

Allowing for the fact that the rings submitted are samples, we see no reason why they should not be equal to what we are using. There would be no objection, however, to your allowing these people to quote and we suggest that you obtain a quotation for the two GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine commutator rings, namely, motor and dynamo, more particularly with a view to informing our present suppliers of the reduced price at which we have been offered these items.

We return sample rings herewith.
