75050. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/KT.15.6.31. Will you please make the following alterations to the C.I. head. You will note that in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Cry.1/KT.12.6.31 Item (3), we asked you to increase the clearances round the valves of the C.I. head and at the same time fit standard inlet valves. In order to get the maximum information out of this test, we should like to do it in two stages. (1) Machine the clearances round the valve and test with existing size of valve. (2) Remove existing size of valve and fit standard valve with insert. We hand you the head herewith, will you please machine round the valves as per drawing.
