X.8940 Expl: Dept: Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby, Angleterre. 14th. July 1925. Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} With reference to your tests on steering. We note your remarks that some of the wobbles are worse on retard than when the car is driving. It is very difficult to see a reason for this although this same phenomenon has been experienced on production cars. We should like, when you have an opportunity, to try under XXXXXX 3 conditions :- With the engine driving. With the power shut off and the engine on retard. With the gear lever in neutral and the car rolling freely. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
