NST

9th June 1933.

Dear Sirs,

We acknowledge your letter of the 7th instant, your reference:-Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/MA., in connection with the chromium plated groove nuts on the high frequency horns which we supply to you.

We have carefully noted your remarks in connection with these nuts working loose, and we feel we must express our astonishment at this happening. Careful investigation in our Service Depots and from other sources have proved that the working loose of these nuts is an un-heard of complaint.

Under these circumstances, may we be allowed to suggest there has been occasion perhaps, to remove these nuts at some time or other and that they were not replaced as securely probably as they would be done in our Assembly Shop.

We can only assure you that the securing of these nuts has been a point which has always been very carefully watched, and a number of these horns are fitted on to our fleet of lorries, and in no case has trouble been reported by the Drivers in this direction.

Perhaps you would be good enough to investigate further at your end in this matter.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,
JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED.
