Contd. -2- EFC5/T26.8.19. between the button of the switch and a plate placed at the back of the switch, and measuring the depression from the "off" position to the position at which the lamp just lights. This depression, according to table, should be .020 + 7 . The second may be measured by removing the cover of the switch and using a thickness gauge and the cut out at .033 + 10 . We attach further copies of the tables for your convenience, but as already stated, the figures other than these must necessarily be correct within the limits, provided these two measured quantities are correct within their limits; therefore no further measurements are required. This information, together with that given in our memo EFC4/T20.8.19, will entirely clear us of any further work in connection with push button switches, after a certain number of switch, of which we hope to be informed.
