Dear Mr. Robotham, I am glad to note your favourable report on Mr. Duckham's 3½ litre Bentley and to know that you intend confirming the test on a new 4¼ litre Bentley in France. We have not yet started marketing Adcoids in that country but there will be no difficulty in letting you have the supplies you require and on receiving your instructions they shall be sent out direct with all necessary information. We shall also be pleased to send out the barrel of Engine Oil N.P.3. Am I right in thinking that you are already testing the thinner oil N.P.2? We are hoping you will do so as it will afford a very interesting comparison. Incidentally, Mr. Duckham is running N.P.2 on his 4¼ litre Bentley. We shall be glad to know what you thought about the condition of the valves on BGF.63 as when using Adcoids we have noticed a marked amount of useful lubricant about the inlet stems and seatings. Colonel Mills says you ask for a specification of Adcoids. I enclose a copy of the patent specification; there was an earlier patent in which the use of zinc oxide was claimed but this is not used at the present time. Yours very truly S.E. Bowrey. | ||
