Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Mcr4/B18614. Re Rudge Whitworth detachable Wheels. X. 421. Mr. Matthews 18.6.14. We wrote you on 22nd. Jan. enclosing production card for one set of the above with latest automatic locking device, stating that Mr. Royce wished these to be tested. On the 20th May we forwarded you a memo from Mr. Bailey stating that these wheels should be fitted up as soon as possible, as Mr. Royce was anxious to have the results of this road test, but we have never heard from you that anything has been done with this experiment. Will you kindly let us know what is preventing you from having these fitted to a car for road test. p. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 18.6.14. Mr Matthews states that he has no car suitable for fitting these to. as Mr. Royce stated they should be fitted to a heavy closed body & all the suitable exp. cars already have experimental wheels or axles or brakes fitted which would be disturbed by fitting these. What should we do? could they be fitted to one of the cars used by the Drivers' Instruction School? M/S B18614 | ||
