TYPE 13R (OPEN TYPE)
For transmitting not over 260 lbs. ft. torque, Truck or Bus Service.
Facing size 12⅞ ins. × 7¼ ins. × ⅛ in. Total facing area 89 sq. ins.
9, 12 or 15 springs optional according to necessary plate pressure.
Maximum plate pressure recommended 1740 lbs.
Unit pressure per sq. in. 19·5 lbs. with maximum spring pressure.
Mean radius 5·03 ins.
Clutch release lever ratio 5 : 1.
Release bearing travel required to release clutch ⅜ in.
Wear-in space to be provided in addition to release bearing travel—⁹/₁₆ in.
Recommended release pedal ratio—10 or 12 : 1.
*Pressure required at release bearing approximately 375 lbs. with maximum springs.
Available with following S. A.{Mr Adams} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ten spline fittings: 1½ ins.
Can be installed in No. 3 or larger S. A.{Mr Adams} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} bell housing.
Release bearing—Ball Thrust—or Carbon Graphite furnished with clutch.
Means of adjustment for wear—Pedal only.
Weight cover assembly (added to flywheel) 51·5 lbs.
Weight driven plate (added to transmission shaft) 4·75 lbs.
Total weight 56·25 lbs.
* Makes allowance for friction in release mechanism and spring build up.
