Cont. -2- But from the above deflections it looks as though ties would have to be fitted (the 8" side members are 12 lbs each heavier than the 6") Flanges of frame same as 2900 series. The dotted lines over the axle shew a frame which would be proportionally strong all along at the cantilever end, if it were considered worth while to make the extra rise at the rear end. The petrol tank has had to be moved back 1.75 in addition to the 3.5 that the frame has gone back, in order to clear axle shewn. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
