Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 78600 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M7.9.27. 20 HP. WHEEL CARRIERS X.5600 X.8600 Both Sales and R.{Sir Henry Royce} have suggested that a handle might be more convenient for operating the central bolt of the 20 HP. wheel carriers. We cannot use the 40/50 bolt scheme without radical changes in the carrier design. We would however like to try the present stud scheme operated by means of a handle, and for the experiment we suggest that you replace the hexagon by a screw thread, and screw in a standard 40/50 handle, thus - SEE ORIGINAL FOR SKETCH. This would be no worse from the point of binding the thread than is the use of an ordinary fixed spanner on the hexagon. Would Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} kindly report on this when we will discuss the matter with R.{Sir Henry Royce} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
