Re- Nitriding of Bentley 4.2 litre crankshafts
after regrinding of main journals

With reference to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R.6.12.37, we shall be glad if you will kindly let us know on which series and on which chassis Hykro steel was first used for crankshafts. We presume that this type of steel was used up to the outbreak of the war for the production of crankshafts on Bentley chassis.
