RE NEW TYPE SHOCK ABSORBERS X.3461.B

We have tried a set of these shock absorbers for a short run on the road. At first we thought we might have trouble with noise because when we bounced the car standing in the shop there was a distinct noise from the petrol tank, as at each stage the shock absorber was engaged. On the road, however, we could not pick out any noise coming from the shock absorbers. The impression we got was that the maximum friction did not come into action soon enough.

In comparing we find that the shock absorbers do allow more movement than the Truffault before the various stages come into action.

We are preparing some more plates with less play in the slots so that we can try them at the next opportunity.

EH.
