Dear Mays, I am afraid we were not able to do much to your car during yesterday. We tried one or two of the known ways of getting rid of the over-run boom, but this did not have the desired effect, therefore, I am sorry to say, you will have to suffer in silence until you are able to let us have the car for rather longer. We shall be able at the same time to put right all your other complaints, and see whether we can improve the performance. We did check over yesterday, the ignition timing etc. and found nothing wrong. Both one of our Repair drivers and myself got 90 miles an hour out of the car quite near the Works. Hoping you will be coming over yourself in the near future, Yours sincerely, | ||
