-2- increase flow. Must not float on the mechanism. (12) RICHENING ANEROID PASSAGE. Richening aneroid to have a permanent passage to pressure side of supercharger and to incorporate S.U. blow back valve. (13) ALTITUDE CORRECTION ANEROID. Passage to communicate altitude aneroid with carburetter air intake. (14) ANEROID LOCKING. The screwed ends of aneroids should have square ends for holding with a spanner when locking the adjustment. At present this strain is taken by the aneroid bellows. (15) ANEROID SPRINGS. The location and type of aneroid is open to criticism. (16) BUSHES FOR NEEDLE MECHANISM. No lubrication. As the mechanism is to operate on the slightest pressure variation it is essential that the bushes in the mechanism are frictionless. (17) COVERS FOR NEEDLE MECHANISM. These require redesigning to miss the slow running adjuster. Why not enclose the adjuster?. (18) NUTS, BOLTS, ETC. Must conform to R.R. standards as regards screw threads and hexagon sizes. (19) PLUGS. No Dural plugs to be used in Alum. Fit Alum Bronze. (20) OIL THROUGH THROTTLES. Fit banjo unions to avoid long sweeping bends as required with existing type of unions. Oil leaks?. (21) DURAL NUTS. The carburetter is fitted with Dural nuts which have been | ||
