Origin: Found necessary in France to obtain sufficient friction in the steering.
Experimental Test Report: This is the minimum amount of friction in the steering to produce stability and to eliminate low speed wobbles. It amounts to 6 lbs. at the wheel rim, front wheels jacked up.
Road Test Report: Cross steering tube with these springs in has run 10,000 miles on 12-EX, 7,500 miles of which was in France. Measureable wear on ball .001". Pads in good condition.
