With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst7/MA2.1.33., we have now had an opportunity of getting the above car on the road and below you will find the particulars you require:- These tests were taken running on magneto ignition and with the dynamo hot. Summer Charge. The dynamo cuts in at 25-26 m.p.h. Winter Charge. do. do. do. 16-17 m.p.h. With the headlights on, at both winter and summer charge, the dynamo cuts in at 12-13 m.p.h. The maximum out-put on summer charge is 4 amps. at 42-44 m.p.h. The maximum out-put at winter charge is 9 amps. at 35-37 m.p.h. With the headlights on, at both summer and winter charge, the maximum out-put is 4 amps. at 24-26 m.p.h. I made two tests and these seemed fairly consistent, bearing in mind that the Lucas ammeter is not such a precise instrument as the Elliott. J.L.E. WST | ||
