Hallam - Head Repairs} Re Driving Visibility. As you may be aware the Ministry of Transport propose to impose a standard of driving visibility for all cars, upon the British Manufacturer. Should he fail to conform to this, legislation will be introduced. One of the limitations they propose is that if the driver's eye be placed 2/6" above the empty seat he must see the top of an object 2' high placed anywhere outside a radius of 25' measured from his eye. In order to make tests on our cars and on cars of other makes, we have designed this simple form of vistameter by which a record of the driver's visibility of any car according to the Minitry's proposed standards can be recorded. The design of the camera and stand is shown on LeC.5156 herewith, and the design of the vistameter scale is shown on LeC.5157, also herewith. We are sending you these originals for filing only, no detailing being required, as we are getting the parts made up without detailing. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Att: LeC.5156. LeC.5157. | ||
