RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB {Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-8-12 24) MP 306975 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E&B Order No.: SC 62 Customer's No.: X4617S Report on SZ (171) Battery from 44PLT This battery was taken from the above chassis after having run 9,904 miles on the road. The car was handed over to the Sales Dept. When the battery was returned the cell terminals & connecting links were corroded due to spray from Oldham & Fuller vents. The vent of the P&R cell was found broken. The battery was given a low rate discharge through an invariable external resistance of 1.80W and only realised 36.3 ampere hours. The Oldham & Fuller cells shewed positive weakness on the Cadmium. The low capacity is due to the Oldham & Fuller cells which were much lower than our S&L cells (contd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
