LONDON, S.W.1.

For the attention of Mr. Saville Sneath.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of April 17th, addressed to Mr. Robotham, re exhaust silencer for "Wraith" chassis, we feel that as this particular car is very much in the air at the moment we should have great difficulty in supplying you with any accurate data of any kind, and also there would be very little chance of any tests being made for some considerable time.

However, if you would care to experiment with an exhaust system for our 25/30 HP. car which has just been put on the market, we should be only too pleased to co-operate with you.

This engine is a 6-cylinder with a bore of 3.500" and a stroke of 4.500". 3 exhaust ports leading via a Prince of Wales feather type manifold into a single downtake pipe of 1.750" dia. The silencer itself should be limited to a length of 48.00" and a dia. of 6.00". If you require any other information I shall be pleased to forward same.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
