Request for three modified switchboxes to operate with long distribution boxes incorporating auto charge control switches.

SWITCHBOXES SUITABLE FOR OPERATION WITH LONG DISTRIBUTION BOXES INCORPORATING AUTO CHARGE CONTROL SWITCHES. May we please refer you to our EFC2/AD8.7.29 in which we asked for switchboxes suitable for working with auto charge control switches. Will you please now arrange for three such switchboxes to be instructed for operation with the three long distribution boxes with incorporated auto charge control switches which are already in our possession. The switchboxes now asked for only differ from the original S.S. arrangement namely :- M & C M B & C M B S (& A) OFF in suppressing the M in the first on position. This request is a result of our recent interview with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} during which he gave us permission to continue bench and purely experimental car work on our auto charge control switch system. He asked us to report to him when we have taken the matter to a reasonable stage so far as purely experimental Derby cars are concerned. A certain amount of preliminary bench work will be necessary to enable us to obtain the best results before arranging for the trial of these systems on cars. EFC. | ||
