Contd. -2- EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T20.5.28. closed circuit type of coil somewhere, having observed sparks of greater utility (capability of overcoming leaky gaps) from such coils, though he does not express a definite opinion as to exactly where the advantage comes in. Taking everything into consideration, however, we do not think that we ought to experiment with such a coil and we shall be pleased if you will do as you suggest, namely, design such an iron core coil constructionally, when we can make the necessary experiments of varying the windings.
