While we were with Mr. Royce yesterday he expressed a wish to attempt to make this type of tubing at the works here. He suggested that it might be done by rollers, and made a rough sketch of what he had in his mind, of which the main points are shown in the sketch attached. As we consider this question of sylphon tubing is rather important because it cannot be obtained in England and it is necessary to buy it from America, we think it would be very desirable if you gave this matter your attention as soon as convenient. [Handwritten notes on sketch] The dia. of these rollers would be chosen so that they can be withdrawn when the corrugations are formed.
