Rolls-Royce Ltd., 14-15, Conduit Street, LONDON W.1. Dear Sirs, I have been instructed by my Principal, Mr. F.{Mr Friese} L. Witcomb, who is now on Active Service in France, to submit to you the enclosed Patent, dealing with an improved electric starter system. I do not think it necessary to explain the subject, as the Specification clearly sets out the objects and claims of the Patent. My Principal is desirous of selling the complete Patent rights outright, or alternatively considering a Royalty Agreement. I appreciate it may take you a little time to give a decision as to whether you are interested or not, but would be glad if you would kindly acknowledge receipt of same. Thanking you for your kind consideration. Yours faithfully, p.p. WITCOMB & BLACKWELL LTD. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Hick Manager.
