Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. Ge. C. Wks. X.8040 NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I. DIE CAST PISTONS. The Experimental Dept. have now succeeded in obtaining pistons which appear to be sufficiently close to drawing to use. I suggest that Ge. should produce 15 pistons, and send them into the Experimental Dept. so that they may be machined and run, in order to satisfy ourselves that there is no difference between the sand cast, from the point of view of strength and reliability, than the die cast. Would you kindly arrange to handle these pistons as quickly as you can, and test them out by running at the earliest possible moment. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
