To from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to RH.{R. Hollingworth} Copy to EFC. X.4062 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}27/CB2-6-20. X.4062 RE 40/50 ENGINE FOOT. We send herewith another print of 'N' Scheme 364 which has been modified in accordance with Mr Elliott's memo E1/G28-5-20. We have shown frame type washers outside the frame under the holding-down bolts. We are not quite certain that you mean the flange of the standard to be cut away on the bottom in the manner shewn, but we have concluded that it is so, the alternative being to fit the flange into the radius of the frame. It is proposed to get at the nuts on the clamping bolts by means of a short box spanner and tommy bar. We are not quite sure whether it will be most convenient to get at them from the top or the bottom, and thought it best to demonstrate this point on a model, as the bolts can be easily reversed. We are having a wooden model made for your inspection and bronze castings for bumping. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [STAMP] EFC JUN 9 1920 RECEIVED | ||
