Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} at W. c.to.By. I.M.W - 400b. Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}4/AH.5.12.38. ----- Coachwork: ----- With reference to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}3/R.23.11.38, being a report on the 15,000 miles test of 8-B.V., Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has asked me to say:- (1) Any improvement in the centre control mechanism to the windscreen will be welcome, but at the same time we find that people very rarely indeed open the screen except in foggy weather so that vibration, if it occurs only at speed is not of great importance. (2) The air bags to the squabs are, more-or-less universal in expensive cars as they afford a ready means of adjustment when the squab has settled down, due to use or to meet the requirements of different drivers.
