- sheet 2 - We should hardly think it necessary to provide machined facings on the back of the dash for the temporary distance pieces carrying the temporary brackets. The slight re-arrangement of the small fittings local to the distribution board necessitated by finding room for the bracket fixings appears to us to be satisfactory. With regard to the Phantom 3 chassis where the scuttle is definitely bolted to the dash, I still think that the carpet and felt scheme would be preferable to asking the coachbuilders to fit sheet metal around the edge.
