18.G.IV.

We have today started the mileage with 18.G.IV.

We have made a definite improvement in lessening the tendency to boom by the attention paid to the engine mounting.

We have not as yet tackled the low inertia slipper wheel as we first of all should like to hear from you whether there has been any gain in this respect on the test bed.

The rattle from the engine gears would not, in our opinion, be passable for production, especially after the engine has become thoroughly hot.

We have dropped the torque reaction dampers down to 3 lbs.; we find this is quite sufficient.

We have had no trouble so far with the synchromesh gears.

There has been no sign of any clutch slip during the mileage so far, it is in fact a bit on the fierce side.
