BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4152 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}5/M26.2.29. REAR NUMBER PLATE & TAIL LAMP. X.4152 X.7800 X.5800 Herewith we send N.sch.2844 shewing the proposed method of carrying the tail lamp with the hinged number plate. We have shewn bolted on brackets for carrying the number plate as we believe this is what you are using. If so no alteration is required to existing pieces. The scheme is drawn for India but the same pieces are used on SS.{S. Smith} The tail lamp is Lucas AT.200 except that we should like two windows as on the C.A.V. and for the finish to be arranged for both black and polished. for the moment it will be possible to use the C.A.V. polished lamp.
