R.R. 199 (250T) (SD676 19-7-17) MP180865 X.4146. He. C. Mr. Shelton. C. EFC. C. SFT.{Mr Swift} ------------------- CHASSIS PISTONS. RE LOW COMPRESSION PISTON MINUS A LINER. ----------------------------------- We are instructing the Works to go ahead and produce patterns for the above part as quickly as possible. At the moment, however, we cannot send an alteration through, as you will remember it was agreed, to my mind quite unnecessarily, that standardization sheets were necessary. In view of the fact that we have only altered the position of the Gudgeon Pin by .125", there does not seem to be any reason why we should not go ahead, but the standardization sheet should be pushed through without delay. Will Mr. Shelton kindly discuss the matter with the Pattern Shop, in regard to moving the bosses on the existing patterns. We should like the Works to tell us just when the new piston can be brought in, we think it should be brought in at the commencement of the Series. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
