"Care must be taken to secure clean and sound electrical connections of the cake terminals to the battery lugs. To clean these terminals and the battery terminals use paraffin, not abrasives. Afterwards again vaseline thoroughly. To remove corrosion use a solution of ammonium carbonate in the first instance, applying this with a rag."
