Re: Coachwork Conference.

The following points arise out of yesterday's conference with Messrs.Park Ward and Sales:-

(1) The B.III and B.50 rear horns of the frame need to be increased in bending strength by deepening the section to enable the whole weight of the rear of the body to be carried on the last body bracket, and also to deal with the jacking load.

(2) We will instruct Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} to delete the mounting of the body on the rear wheel arch brackets, but we shall ask for such brackets to be provided on the next experimental body for B.III and B.50 for fear we may subsequently require them. A point we did not mention yesterday is, if we delete the support of the body in the rear wheel arches, we are convinced that it will be necessary to use the next size larger Floatex bush in the rear body bracket.

(3) As we learn that Messrs.Marstons have promised definitely a radiator shell and grille for B.50 by next Tuesday, we have instructed Messrs. Park Ward definitely not to go ahead with a wooden model of the radiator, but merely to make a frame work to carry the Marston shell.
