Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}17/JH. 1029 8th December, 1937. The New Hudson Co.Ltd., Icknield Street, BIRMINGHAM. For the attention of Mr. Fraser. Dear Sirs, We were very glad to hear that we can have the modifications to the Girling adjusters (shown on our drawing G.CD.250) without extra cost, as there is now no obstacle to proceeding with them. We can easily machine the slots etc. on the plungers we now have, and at a later date we will communicate with you regarding the new adjuster cones. We enclose prints of the front and rear assemblies to which the Girling units are fitted, in order to give your design staff information that they may require in connection with the expanders having a cone travel of 0.75". When they have roughed at the general arrangement we shall be glad to have the opportunity of discussing the matter with them. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
