1st November, 1929.

Dear Sirs,

Further to ours EPC1/AD. of Oct.15th and yours M/3 of Oct.26th we were able satisfactorily to fit the ebonite collars where required.

With regard to the end terminals, circumstances are the same for these as for the intermediate because we use cable ends both on main cables and on the intermediate connector whose thickness is no greater than the cell to cell connections.

With regard to the question of burnt up cell to cell connections versus bolted connections, we are going into this matter as affected by the present circumstances and you may expect to hear further from us in this connection in the near future.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
