R.R. 493A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expt. No. 9940 REF: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/7/LJ.23.11.23. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. c. to Rg.{Mr Rowledge} c. to De. c. to EY. FOUR WHEEL BRAKES. With regard to the floating fulcrum type brakes. We have doubled the length of the sheet metal lever on the front equaliser. These brakes, although they are more effective than they were, it is still impossible to get effective braking - it is not possible to skid the wheels even on a greasy road. We are increasing the leverage still more to see how far we have to go before we can get them effective. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
