MACONITE INSULATED CABLES With regard to H.T. cables insulated with Maconitem we suggest that some comparative test should be made for oxidation, as we have experienced considerable trouble in the past due to H.T. cable insulation rotting and cracking in the neighbourhood of the metal fittings, owing as it is understood to the effect of the ozone resulting from brush discharge. Mr. Royce would like the suppliers of the present cable in use to be shewn a sample of Maconitem with a view to obtaining their opinion of the new material. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
