Wyman. What is this scheme? Have you tried it? To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} re 20/25 HP. Flexible Engine Mounting. We have not seen any reference to the electrical earthing of the engine in connection with flexible engine mounting. We believed this was necessary in view of the fact that the electrical connection from the engine to earth would otherwise be via controls, pipes, and the pedals, none of which are very definite. Instructions were issued for an earthing cable D.54428, but we have not seen a reference to its suitability or behaviour on test. If the earthing wire is to be used we think a standardisation sheet should be circulated; at the moment this item has apparently been overlooked.
