I am very pleased to say that Lord Wakefield of Hythe has very kindly asked to be permitted to defray the Cost of erecting an appropriate Memorial to my son, to which I have had pleasure in gratefully acceding, & he has also inquired as to my view of the inscription to be placed on the Stone (which I may say will not exceed 5 ft by 3 ft) and I have suggested that the head should bear a design or emblem representing both the Miss-England II Speed-boat, & the 1929 Schneider Trophy Sea Plane,
