To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From BJ. Springing. BJG/E25.7.28 Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to C. Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} +8-4-40 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} The following is extract from the Minutes of the Sales Conference of the 17th July:- "SPRINGING. No further information was available concerning the tests in hand at W. to determine what action should be taken to effect a general improvement in our springing. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} reported that serious complaints concerning our springing and regrettable comparisons of our springing with that of other makes of cars appear to be growing. The Conference decided to record their alarm at this state of affairs and to ask BJ to urge the completion of the tests now proceeding at W. as a definite improvement is urgently necessary." I cannot too strongly emphasize the desirability of getting our springing right at the earliest possible moment, as the number of complaints we are receiving now is doing our reputation considerable harm. I trust that everything will be done at Derby to expedite this important matter. BJ. | ||
