25/30 Hp. Clutch.

The inertia of the Borg & Beck clutch is the same as that fitted to the first six series of Bentley cars, the whole of G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Series 20/25 cars, 1-W-17 for 68,000 miles, and Og's car, not only since we fitted the Borg & Beck, but since it was a new car. No complaints have been received on any of these cars that the flywheel inertia is insufficient, although W.M. is able to demonstrate a slight vibration at 2,000 r.p.m. in second gear at light throttle. We have never noticed this vibration and do not think that any customer could appreciate it. If we wish to use the Borg & Beck clutch we must retain the flywheel.

For the 25/30 we require from the Design Department only a modified ball housing in which the trunnion shaft is moved back to far greater clearance for the clutch eyebolts.
