Re B.144.LS...Raymond Mays.
-----

I am enclosing herewith copy of letter received from Mr.Raymond Mays regarding the new 4¼-litre Bentley.
You will note he thinks that this is not as good as his old car from the point of view of power and performance.

You will also note that he is wondering whether the larger wheels and tyres have anything to do with it, and has asked us to lend him his old car for comparative tests.

This latter presents some difficulty, and I should be glad if, in the meantime, you could tell us your opinion of his remarks, as presumably you tested these tyres out and made comparisons before you decided to standardise them for the future.

You will note that the car was with you for one day yesterday, but presumably you did not have much opportunity of giving it a thorough test.

C.
