x7076 P MARTINDALE P.T. C. Ex. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ds. PHO. HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.8.11.35. Horizontal Hand Brake Lever - Phantom 3. Will you kindly note that on the last three cars made (33,34, and 35-EX) it was found necessary to raise the handle of the hand brake lever above the position given on N.Sch.4390. The distance between the centre of the pawl button and the top of the frame was made 4.250". Will you kindly instruct this dimension for all new work. No new pieces are required for this alteration except the modified shaft and pawl operating spindle already instructed by N.Sch.4597, as it is only necessary to swing the lever and ratchet bodily around the existing centre in the frame side member. 4.250 HDY.{William Hardy} | ||
