re Programme. CJ11/E6/3/24

1. Are we right in believing that up to No.50 'T' Series the chassis issued will be precisely similar to the chassis which we were issuing before the 1st November last?

2. Will chassis after No.50 of the 'T' Series have alterations of front axle etc. which will make them more adaptable for the fitting of front wheel brakes?

3. If we continue to produce 8 chassis a week, will 'T' Series be exhausted on the 30th August as far as Works to Test is concerned?

4. Can Works deliver - Works to Test - 12 chassis on the 1st September - these chassis being intended for exhibition and demonstration purposes?

If not, what can they do towards the fulfilment of this programme?

5. Can Works deliver to Test 8 EAC.II a week commencing the 1st November?

If not, what can they do towards this programme?

In considering the above programme, the following questions should be answered:-

(a). Can Works produce the 200 sets of brake parts and fit them to cars already issued, in addition to the ordinary production of eight 40/50 HP chassis a week and in addition to the preparation for the regular production of 8 EAC chassis Works to Test from the 1st November?

(b) Can the Test Department test 200 cars to which brakes have been fitted at the Works between the 16th April and the 30th June, in addition to testing eight 40/50 HP chassis a week delivered without brakes?

(c) Is it certain that the Test Department will not become a bottle-neck in connection with the foregoing programme?

As regards material, the last chassis of the 'T' Series will, it is thought, be passed from Works to Test on the 30th August.

The first EAC II chassis, apart from the 12 chassis for exhibition and demonstration purposes, will at the production rate of 8 a week be passed from Works to Test on the 1st November.
