GUDGEON PIN BUSHES FIXED IN CONNECTING ROD.
Origin.
To reduce wear.

A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers.
B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis.

Experimental Test Report.
This modification is reverting to the pre-war practice of fixing the gudgeon pin in the rod instead of having it floating.

Road Test Report.
Run 11,000 miles on 1.EX Car.
Has been used on 40/50 cars built at Springfield for some time.
