COVENTRY.

For the attention of W.Lyons Esq.,

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the aluminium-tin bearings we are producing for you we should be pleased if you could forward a print of the drawing of your connecting rod and cap.

We note that you have a 3/16" dia. hole in the half bearings shown, is there a similar hole in the opposite half of the bearing? also is this hole used for dowel location or do you use the swaged tabs for location of the bearing and use the 3/16 dia. hole as oil supply hole for Gudgeon pin?

We should also like you to let us have two sets of rods for us to fit the bearings so that when returned to you it will only be necessary for you to finally diamond bore the bearings to finish dimensions.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
