X.3362.-LIGHTING INSTALLATION AT W.W.

Referring to our note EFC/AT51018 we shall be glad to know if you have yet received an answer from the G.E.Co. to our enquiry for 6 AT9 type single cell accumulators in glass boxes.

We shall also be glad to know if Messrs. C.A.Vandervell have given any answer concerning the blackened lamp which we returned to them a short while ago. In connection with this I have now a further note from Mr. Royce in which he says that this first lamp failed by blackening in 7 1/2 hours, but that the second lamp he has put on is showing no deterioration after 32 hours. We think that Messrs. C.A.Vandervell should be apprised of this fact; they will then probably replace the fi rst lamp free of charge. It may be an isolated instance due to an imperfect vacuum in the bulb.
